Reincarnation: Carry Cards and Talents into the Right System

Separate the Reincarnation Casket from Ninefold talent inheritance in the demo, check selection settings and diagnose what did not follow your next life.

FAQ

Why did my talents not automatically follow me?
The October 13 demo announcement says talents no longer inherit automatically each life. Choose the talents to inherit through Ninefold Reincarnation Art rather than relying on the older default.
Does the previous-life card toggle mean unlimited storage?
No. The September 29 announcement adds a setting to automatically add previous-life cards to the Reincarnation Casket. It does not establish unlimited capacity, free upgrades or eligibility for every item.
Do all artifacts carry over?
Do not assume so. An October 1 announcement specifically fixes Bagua Artifacts not being cleared on reincarnation. That is a type-specific note, not a universal promise about every treasure or stored card.

Why can a new life have different talents?

Use Ninefold Reincarnation Art to choose talent inheritance. The October 13 demo update deliberately replaces automatic inheritance with selection. A talent missing from a later incarnation is therefore not, by itself, proof that a save is broken: first check which talent was selected through the relevant system.

Original reading checkpoints for Casket, Cards, Ninefold and Talents; not a game screenshot or an unlock sequence.

This page separates the two checks that are easy to mix up: retaining cards and selecting talents. It does not give a personally tested storage build, a complete capacity chart or a guarantee that every kind of possession survives death.

Where should you check a card rather than a talent?

Check the Reincarnation Casket for card handling. The September 29 public-demo announcement adds a toggle for automatically adding previous-life cards to it. That setting is distinct from the later talent-selection change. An automatic filling option is not evidence that every card is eligible or that space has no limit.

Before ending a life, use a small record that makes the next result checkable:

  1. Identify whether the thing you want to preserve is a card, a talent or another item type.
  2. For a talent, inspect the choice available through Ninefold Reincarnation Art.
  3. For a card, inspect the Casket’s actual contents and its previous-life card setting.
  4. Note the selected name and the displayed capacity or eligibility restriction, if any.
  5. In the next incarnation, compare the actual result with that selection.

These are editorial checks around documented features, not invented button coordinates. If a localized name differs, preserve the Chinese name or a screenshot rather than substituting an unrelated card with similar English wording.

Why is “everything carries over” a poor assumption?

Inheritance depends on the system and item type. The announcement published October 1 includes a specific correction for Bagua Artifacts not clearing during reincarnation. Its title still says September 30, so the title date and publication date should not be mistaken for two different mechanics. The note does not say every artifact is permanent.

Likewise, a card you built for the current deck is not automatically evidence of a saved next-life loadout. Keep fusion and battle preparation separate from storage. The Vow Power and first-stronghold guide covers a different progression question; earning that resource does not prove a particular inheritance purchase is available at a fixed cost.

What should you do if the recorded selection still fails?

Compare the before-and-after names, item type, Casket contents and chosen talent, then record the installed demo build and the point at which the result differs. Report the precise mismatch instead of deleting the save or treating repeated reloads as a supported transfer method. No universal respec or recovery command is established here.

The useful result is a confirmed next-life selection, or a clear report identifying what did not transfer. For a genuinely stuck transition, follow event and save-recovery guidance. The Lamp-form route is another distinct unlock question and should not be confused with a promise of unlimited Casket storage.

Checked November 7, 2026 against the dated public-demo announcements. Numeric client build and exact storage upgrade prices remain unverified. This is source-based editorial guidance, not our own gameplay test.
